{NAME}, I have two full-time jobs. One as the Representative for New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District. The other: Dad. Throughout my time in this job, I've come to realize I might not be the "tuck them into bed every night" dad. But I know I can at least be the "fight for their future" dad. Like most parents, I just want my kids to have access to the best education, safe schools, and a vibrant community to grow up in. These goals drive my work in Congress. I was so proud this summer when we passed the most significant federal gun safety legislation in nearly three decades. But we know the gun lobby will try to undo our progress. They have their eye on November to try to stage their comeback – and they're determined to try and defeat me. That's why I'm proud to be part of the NR8 – a group of gun safety champions across the country and up and down the ballot facing tough races in November. Today, each of our campaigns is reaching out to step up the effort to end gun violence. [Will you chip in $8 for 8 gun safety candidates?]( All of us are committed to fighting for common sense gun violence prevention measures in Congress to make sure our schools and communities are safe for our kids. We proved this summer that common sense can win. But radical right wing politicians have made it clear they have no intention of solving the gun violence epidemic. Your donations to the NR8 can have a tremendous impact in the final weeks to fill budget holes and turn out the voters we need to win. Today is our chance to demonstrate that the movement to end gun violence is stronger than ever. We must do everything we can to elect gun safety champions to Congress.
