We’re holding our own Oscars for AZ-01, so tune in to see who wins! Ladies and Gentlemen, thanks for tuning in to the 2024 Arizona District One Academy Awards. [Paid for by Andrei for Arizona]( Ladies and Gentlemen, thanks for tuning in to the 2024 Arizona District One Academy Awards. We have some exciting awards to give out tonight! We’ll skip the opening number because our feet hurt too much from canvassing to dance and get right into it, but, first, a word from our sponsor! [(Robert, this is a light-hearted email, but the 2024 elections couldn’t be more serious, and there isn’t a more important district in all of America than AZ-01. Andrei needs your help. Can you chip in to our people-powered campaign today?)]( Welcome back, and let’s get right into it. Our first category is “Best Performance as a Defender of Reproductive Rights.” And the winner is… David Schweikert! Schweikert has spent decades fighting for a national, no-exceptions ban on abortion. And he hasn’t stopped there. He also cosponsored the “Life at Conception” Act, which would legally make all embryos “people” — essentially making IVF impossible in states across the country. But now that IVF is in the news after the Alabama Supreme Court’s recent ruling, Schweikert is acting like a defender of reproductive rights. Last week, Schweikert introduced a bogus and non-binding resolution that would “protect” IVF — despite having no real effect on federal law. Next up, “Best Performance as a Champion of Veterans.” And the winner is… David Schweikert again! On Veterans Day, he solemnly proclaimed that “At all costs, whenever necessary, we shall honor and protect those who fought to honor and protect our freedoms.” It was a moving acting job because he actually voted “no” on the PACT Act for veterans' health care. Even Matt Gaetz and Ted Cruz voted “yes” on this bipartisan legislation. And, finally, “Best Performance as a Protector of our Border.” And the winner is… wow, David Schweikert again! He says, “We need border security now,” but it’s just a line for him. He’s voted repeatedly to cut our Border Patrol, says he wants to “break up” the FBI, and refused to support a bipartisan deal to stop the border chaos because Donald Trump told him to. Robert, David Schweikert may have won tonight, but he won’t win in November. The voters of this district are demanding action, not acting. And Andrei Cherny will be honored to be nominated, but he’s focused on winning this election. [AZ-01 Academy Awards Graphic]( [Robert, we had some fun with this email, but we’re serious about ensuring AZ-01 elects Andrei so that we have a representative who will work to protect our reproductive rights, our veterans, and our security in Congress.
