I’m ready to go toe to toe with David Schweikert on border security [Paid for by Andrei for Arizona]( Robert, our country is facing a border crisis. Last week, David Schweikert and Republicans in Congress could have done something about it – in a bipartisan fashion. They said “no” for one reason and one reason only: Schweikert and Donald Trump would rather have a political wedge issue than take action and make progress. Well, if David Schweikert wants to make the race for Congress here in Arizona about border security, I have three words for him: Bring. It. On. As Arizona Assistant Attorney General, I went after the cartels that traffic humans and drugs across our border. I helped prosecute one of the largest human smuggling operations in the state's history. In contrast, Schweikert has voted to cut our border patrol agents and wants to get rid of the FBI because they’re too mean to Trump. As a proud son of immigrants, I know how important it is to the success of our country that we have an immigration system that is fair for all people. The current chaos does nothing other than give more power and money to the cartels. [If we’re going to defeat David Schweikert, we need to be able to go on offense when it comes to our border. I’m ready to do that, but to get the chance to do so, I need your support today. Robert, can I count on you to pitch in to help?]( [Business Insider headline: Trump says conservatives should 'celebrate' the defeat of the bipartisan border security bill: 'We crushed it']( Every day, I hear from Arizonans frustrated about the inaction at the border. Washington has failed us and after 14 years in Congress, David Schweikert is a big part of the problem. In Congress, I will fight for real action, like more resources and reforms on the border. David Schweikert has proven once again he’s more focused on doing what’s good for him and Donald Trump than what’s good for our community and country.
