One year ago, I announced my campaign for Congress. Now we’re on the verge of the most important months of the campaign. [Paid for by Andrei for Arizona]( Robert, As the proverb goes, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Exactly one year ago today, our campaign took that first step. Since then, I’ve literally walked more than 1,000 miles, knocked on thousands of doors, and worn out two pairs of shoes. [Before I share some reflections, I want to ask you to make a special anniversary contribution to fuel our campaign’s work over the next months. Defeating my opponent, David Schweikert, will be a challenge, but I know it’s one we can accomplish if we work together.]( Launching my campaign to represent AZ-01 one year ago today was not a decision I made easily or took lightly, but I did it hoping there would be folks who would join me and fight for the future of our democracy. I have been so grateful and moved in this journey to know that, at every step, I have not walked alone. Because of the helping hand of thousands of people, our grassroots movement has shattered all expectations and done what no other Congressional campaign in America and no other congressional campaign in Arizona history has been able to do — all thanks to your support, Robert. As the grandson of four Holocaust survivors and son of refugees from communism, democracy and freedom aren’t abstract to me, they’ve always been real. My opponent in this campaign sees the world differently. Congressman David Schweikert tried to overturn the election on January 6th, calls climate change “folklore,” and is one of only five people in the history of the United States to be unanimously reprimanded by both parties for his ethics violations. [Click here to watch our original “launch video” which still sums up why I’m running >>]( [Still image of Andrei's launch video with play button | Andrei Cherny for Congress]( I have been a businessperson, a prosecutor, and served in uniform. My wife, Stephanie, and I are raising our two kids in this community we have called home for two decades. I know we can do better. AZ-01 is the battleground district in the battleground state of 2024 — and we are now on the verge of the most important months of the campaign. All eyes are on Arizona this year with the presidential and senate elections happening, and you can bet Donald Trump himself will be paying special attention to our race, doing whatever he can to help Schweikert win. [So please, Robert, now that we’re officially 12 months into this race, will you make a contribution of $12 or more to fuel us to victory this November? I can’t stress how grateful I am for your continued support.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [CHIP IN $12 NOW]( [CHIP IN $25 NOW]( [CHIP IN $50 NOW]( [CHIP IN $100 NOW]( [CHIP IN $250 NOW]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( It means so much to have you standing alongside me in this fight. Here’s to the next seven months!
