This is my 10th year doing this tradition and I look forward to it every year. I hope you enjoy! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hello and happy New Year's Eve! I started this tradition ten years ago to be more intentional about the year ahead. It's a unique game to do on your own or if you're with a group. You can use the version below or create your own. Just jot down your answers in the columns, take a photo for saving and rip up the paper as confetti when the clock strikes midnight. On New Year’s Day, you can build the action plan to execute against the items in each column. In the spirit of tangible examples and accountability, here’s my plan below for 2024. This list has been brewing and building for many months as a result of some substantial changes I wanted to see in myself. I've had a jump-start on most of these. My word for the year is Reinvention and the primary tool is my Ruthless Red Pen. In January, we’re launching a podcast series on the Why Not Now? Show about the tactics and tips that help with executing against these lists, how to measure each (including the intangibles), what led to this Reinvention (oh boy!) and who has helped guide me. The overarching strategy for everything below is to continue to expand my capacity and optimize bandwidth. [This quick video explains.]( Take from 2023 to 2024: - 100% accountability and ownership for the reality I create. - Prioritized, intentional time with Lincoln: playtime, use of “pencils down jar” (a home for my phone at home), more pick-up/drop-off from school, daily gratitude circle, daily activation of family values, word of the day and appreciation letters. - My Ruthless Red Pen: Continued reinvention of my relationship with time and money. Setting ruthless priorities that reflect how I want to feel and my desired ideal day. This is a biggie. - Time Budgeting & Reconciliation. This has been huge. I tend to overestimate my bandwidth (finite, 24 hours in a day) and underestimate my capacity (infinite, unique potential). - Less meetings, more movement during necessary meetings (walking), scheduled deep-work time, systemizing comms, time-boxing, task-batching, deleting, delegating.  - No Alcohol, more margin in my day. - More dancing (in the studio, on stage and in the kitchen with Lincoln!) Leave Behind in 2023: - Unconscious use of time and money. - Obnoxious amount of screen time: Marathon Zoom meeting days, scrolling down the social media rabbit hole. - Overriding my intuition. - Outsourcing my judgement, forgetting who I am and how I got here. - Uncontrolled inbound volume of communication: email, text, calls, DMs, Slacks. (Can’t wait to share some tricks on this.) - Back-to-back work trips/travel. - Waking up earlier and earlier as a strategy. - Whac-a-mole goals due to maxed out bandwidth. - Resentful edge and overwhelmed state of hurry. - Chasing “balance”. It’s BS. Boundaries? YES. - Rushing. (In any way.) - False, self-imposed obligation to do things I have not committed to. Create in 2024: - More compassion. - More "No." (Full stop.) And at times, "No thank you, I have another commitment." (Me! And these lists!) - Recommitment to myself, my health and life as a Renegade. - Day-stacking! Reverse engineering big goals into consistent small steps. - Become a sleep-olympian with new sleep habits and performance. - Release next Renegade book and publish via our Renegade Imprint! (Manuscript is sooooooo close.) - Incorporate tumbling and dance into keynote speeches, bringing a next-level performance to stage. (Don’t tell my health insurance.) - Run for fun and peace of mind, not distance, pace or time. (Anyone else running the Austin Marathon, half or 5k on Feb 18? We have a crew forming! Holler.) - Space to learn new things. (Listen to podcasts, mini-classes, read more, learn from experts around me.) - Finish studying for Series 65, pass exam. - Map a plan and create space for pilot’s license in 2025! To hear the tips and tactics for how I am executing against the roadmap above, make sure to listen to the upcoming podcast series on [Why Not Now?]( Thank you to everyone who joined myself and Renegade along the journey over this past year. I’d love to hear what’s on your list(s). Feel free to share back for accountability! If I don’t respond, don’t take it personal, I’m just optimizing my bandwidth. ;) [This surprise (video here)]( was a highlight of my year and a memory I’ll never forget. Happy New Year! Cheers to Reinvention, Ajo [Instagram]( [iTunesPodcasts]( [Linkedin]( Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Amy Jo Martin, LLC, Austin, Austin, TX 78739, United States

Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
