Sadly, the desire to bake bread at home seems to have waned. I think that bread-baking is incredibly rewarding, so I’ve rounded up a few recipes to inspire cooks to give homemade bread another shot. This recipe uses a gel-like paste of flour and water that makes the dough easy to manipulate into its signature braid without adding lots of flour. The resulting bread rises tall, with a deep golden hue and impossibly plush crumb. Pillow-soft.
