The latter are a French pastry that’s traditionally made with almonds, but they are easily varied. I particularly like [Chocolate Chunk Financiers]( and [Pistachio Financiers](. Finally, my go-to move when I’m a guest is to show up with some sparkling wine, a mixer, Angostura bitters and sugar cubes. [Champagne cocktails]( and [Mimosas]( are easy to make and fun to sip. And bitters can be added to sparkling water for those who are interested in a low-alcohol or no-alcohol option. (Some bitters contain alcohol, so double-check yours before serving!)
