In that time, we’ve eaten at barbecue joints, greasy spoons, steak houses, gas stations, taco stands, food trucks, pizzerias, noodle shops, cafés, state fairs, church suppers, sandwich fests, VFW halls, food stalls, strip malls, dive bars, boarding houses, supper clubs, pig roasts, fish fries, pie shops, IHOPs, grocery stores, hunting lodges, chicken shacks, oyster roasts, crawfish boils, crab houses, strangers’ homes, and on the hood of our rented car. Now, you can follow along on all these culinary adventures with my new YouTube series: [On The Road with Bryan](. In the first, I’ll take you to a [boucherie on the Louisiana bayou]( to roast a whole hog, make boudin and [rice dressing]( from scratch, and fry all manner of things in lard, including these [cinnamon-sugar coated sweet potatoes](. In the second episode, airing on October 19th, we’ll take a deep dive into Filipino cooking in the Bay Area, which is something I have a deep affection for. A new episode of On The Road airs every month. In between each episode, you can check out a video of me walking you through how to cook/prepare an item related to one of my trips, such as the aforementioned [lard-fried sweet potatoes](. This season, I’ll stir up a pitcher of cava sangria that can’t be beat; ferment a batch of sauerkraut; show you how to break down a chicken like a pro; and teach you how to make mayonnaise with only a whisk and brute strength, because everyday is arm day in the test kitchen. I’ve had a ton of fun traveling, eating, and meeting over the years, and I’m excited to share all those experiences with you. So, be sure to check out [On the Road with Bryan]( on YouTube.
