A nonstick skillet is a workhorse in any cookâs arsenal. Weâve said for years that you shouldnât spend a lot on this pan because the nonstick coating breaks down and it will need to be replaced. We tested 14 models, including new models from direct-to-consumer brands Misen and Made In. While all of the pans arrived nonstick and stayed that way, design differences definitely affected performance. Our favorite models (including the winner) had wide cooking surfaces, gentle angled walls, and easy-to-grip handles.

[Muffin Tin Doughnuts](
To get the flavor and texture of a cake doughnut with the ease of a muffin, add an extra egg yolk to the batter and cut all-purpose flour with cornstarch to create a tender, cakelike crumb. A hot oven helps replicate the crispy edges of a traditional deep-fried doughnut, and a final coating of melted butter followed by a roll in cinnamon sugar creates a rich, sugary exterior. Feel pumpkin spice season coming on? A member shared this: âFor a Pumpkin Spice variation: Decreased the buttermilk to ½ c and added ½ c pumpkin.
