The perfect treat to pass along (while saving some for yourself!), this playful bark is sure to please for any occasion. Incorporating all the elements of rocky road candy, we started with nutty-tasting graham crackers as the barkâs base, fitting them into a baking pan in a single layer. After melting an easy-make caramel on top, we then scattered finely chopped chocolate over the still-hot surface to melt and sprinkled on mini marshmallows and pecans to give the bark a pleasant chew, buttery crunch, and the rocky appearance suggested by the candyâs name.
Do the Impossible: Quick & Easy Caramel
Instead of making caramel on the stovetop, we poured a mixture of melted butter and just-dissolved brown sugar over the crackers and then popped the pan into the oven, where the even heat turned the butter-sugar mixture into an easy caramel.
