I make a wide variety of dishes, from hearty salads to rich, flavorful stews. As much as possible, I like to incorporate seasonal ingredients such as apples, cranberries, mushrooms, and root vegetables. This [farro salad]( can stand on its own as a main dish: It’s hearty and bursting with fall flavors. I love how the earthy farro, sweet butternut squash, bitter radicchio, and salty blue cheese balance one another. It’s the perfect recipe for a cool night. I like to use my grill well into the cold months, and this [grill-roasted, lightly smoked, glazed stuffed pork loin recipe]( is one that I go back to each year. It’s stuffed with a pinwheel of sweet and savory apple-cranberry stuffing with hints of ginger and mustard. Our [mushroom and leek galette]( is hearty and satisfying and features a flaky, tender, and nutty whole-wheat crust that is a perfect foil for the earthy filling. For those extra-chilly evenings, I often make a rich, satisfying stew that warms me throughout. [Gumbo]( is one of my favorites because it is deeply flavored and overflowing with shrimp, chicken, andouille, and okra.
