Summer bucket list, new recipe finder, revamped Reviews site, Five Ingredient Dinners... [America’s Test Kitchen]( [Cook’s Illustrated]( [Cook’s Country]( [Kids]( [Cooking School]( [In the Kitchen (at home) with Jack. The Latest from America's Test Kitchen.] Dear Home Cook, I like to think of myself as a 12-month learner. While summer is definitely the time to slow down and enjoy the warm weather and the bounty from my garden, it’s still time to try new things and new recipes. On my summer bucket list: the new [Semolina and Ricotta Cake]( (this sounds like something my Italian grandmother used to make) and the [Upside Down Tomato Tart]( both in the current issue of Cook’s Illustrated, as well as the [Kansas City-Style Barbecue Ribs]( from Cook’s Country (my eldest is the ribs aficionado in our family and I want her take on this saucy version). [Migliaccio di Semolino (Semolina and Ricotta Cake)]( [Upside-Down Tomato Tart]( [Kansas City-Style Barbecue Ribs]( We continue to invest in new features on our websites so that you can create your own summer bucket list. Our new recipe finder (check out the left-side navigation) makes browsing so much easier since you can find recipes by main ingredient, cuisine, or any other top-level filter. [Screenshot of the new recipe menu]( And if you’re having friends and family over, maybe it’s time to invest in some new kitchen gear. We’ve rebuilt all the [ATK Reviews content]( on our website to be much more scannable so that you can find the info, and the product, that meets your particular needs. [Screenshot of the new Reviews homepage]( [App Screenshots]( If you have not downloaded the ATK app, do so now. Seriously, stop reading this email and go to the app store on your phone. You will thank me! [The ATK app]( is my constant companion in the kitchen. Make sure to check out the “Ingredients” button on every recipe detail page. The ingredient list for the recipe pops out even when you are deep into the instructions. That means no scrolling up and down to cook from your phone. The newest release also fixes some login bugs (we heard you). [Watch the video How to Make the Best (and Biggest!) Chocolate Chip Cookie]( The kids had a tough year at school and it’s time for them to get outside and play. But when the storm clouds gather, or the afternoon heat builds, turn to [Mystery Recipe](. Our utterly delightful podcast for children will keep the entire family laughing and learning. Season 3 just started and Molly and Mitsy (her oven mitt sidekick) are cooking up fun. And check out the new ATK Kids YouTube channel. It’s weird. It’s wacky. It’s wonderful. I especially love the “Wicked Good” series. Watch [How to Make the Best (and Biggest!) Chocolate Chip Cookie]( with the little ones in your life. Our [Young Chefs’ Club]( is another great way to keep kids engaged and having fun this summer! Be sure to use code ATKKIDS10 at checkout to get your first box free. [The Walk-In Podcast]( [The Walk-In]( is back for season 2 with more intimate conversations with culinary trailblazers. Elle Simone Scott chats with Gail Simmons (my second favorite Top Chef judge . . . sorry Tom) as well as Carla Hall (a former host of The Chew and an altogether fascinating force in the food world), and Kristen Kish, arguably the most exciting chef in Texas . . . ok, I just started something. The latest ATK cookbook keeps it ridiculously simple for summer. [Five-Ingredient Dinners]( is a cookbook for your real life. Simple meals that are fast and creative. And satisfying. How about Cumin-Spiced Chicken Thighs with Cauliflower Couscous or Grilled Pork Tenderloin Steaks with Grilled Peach and Arugula Salad? The Pan-Seared Salmon with Smoked Paprika and Spicy Green Beans has already been in heavy rotation in my kitchen. [Five Ingredient Dinners Book Cover]( Finally, if friends invite you over for dinner, it’s always nice to bring something. My top picks are wildflowers from behind the house or tomatoes from my garden (I have high hopes for the Brandywines and Green Zebras). No wildflowers or garden tomatoes? Check out our new summer merchandise in the ATK Shop. My picks: the [The Farmers’ Market Kit]( (tote bag, pen set, and grocery shopping list) and the Cook’s Illustrated printed journals with hand drawings from renowned illustrator John Burgoyne. I’m also partial to the [Taste of Italy]( set with Italian cookies, cheeses, and cured meats. [Farmer's Market Kit]( [Taste of Italy Journal Set]( Whatever you do this summer, make it memorable and make it delicious.
