A Russian airstrike yesterday killed 39 civilians. Please help children and families impacted by this attack. [Americares]( [Rush an emergency donation for survivors in Ukraine. Make an urgent gift.]( Friend, A Russian airstrike yesterday partially destroyed Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine. This devastating attack targeting cities across Ukraine has claimed at least 39 lives and injured more than 149 people, including many children receiving lifesaving treatments. Parents tried to shield their kids from danger – they fled for their lives in the middle of the day, crying out and gasping for breath. Two floors of the hospital were completely demolished, and hundreds of patients had to be evacuated. Hospital staff are now focused on search and rescue efforts and transferring patients to safe locations. In May, Americares provided lifesaving medicine to Okhmatdyt, the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine, providing care for some of the sickest children in the country. We have reached out to our partners, offering our support as they take stock of what medicines and equipment may have been lost or damaged due to the attack. [Please, will you rush an emergency gift of $125 or more to help provide the resources necessary for patient treatment to continue? Your support will make a difference for children and families reeling from this attack.]( [DONATE NOW]( For more than two years now, innocent people have suffered immensely from Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Yesterday’s missile attack in broad daylight piled on to that suffering. Americares is working to ensure that children continue to receive critical cancer medicine and care they need, even amidst the chaos of war. [Please, rush an urgent gift of $125 or whatever you can right now to support our work in Ukraine and other crisis zones.]( [RUSH $50]( [RUSH $125]( [RUSH $500]( [RUSH ANOTHER AMOUNT]( Thank you for helping save lives, Americares Americares 88 Hamilton Avenue Stamford, CT 06902 | (203) 658-9500 © 2024 Americares.
