This is the sound that echoes in my memories, reminding me of the fear and oppression that comes with living in a communist country. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ Knock, Knock, Knock. This is the sound that echoes in my memories, reminding me of the fear and oppression that comes with living in a communist country. My name is Hung Cao, and I am here to share my family's story with you. It is a story of fear, turned into hope and gratitude for the country that saved my life – America. My parents heard dreadful knocking at their doors. It was the sound that took away their fathers, never to be seen again. It was the sound of living in constant fear, of losing one's freedom. They vowed their children would never witness that. We escaped Vietnam just days before Saigon fell to the communists. America opened its arms to us, granting us a new life filled with opportunities. I seized those opportunities, attending the renowned Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and graduating from the United States Naval Academy. I dedicated myself to service, spending 25 years in Navy Special Operations, fighting for our country in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia. But today, our country stands at a crossroads. We have taken a dark turn, where a knock at the door represents something entirely different... It's the sound of Joe Biden's Justice Department sending armed agents to arrest a pro-life activist, tearing families apart before their very eyes. It's the sound of the IRS raiding gun shops, seizing the records of law-abiding gun owners - violating our privacy and trust. And shockingly, it's the sound of a former President being arrested, eroding the principles our nation was built upon. Crime is running rampant, violating the safety of our homes and businesses, and destroying our communities. Criminals roam free while law-abiding citizens suffer. Our borders are flooded with illegal immigrants, and the dangerous influx of drugs like fentanyl threatens the lives of our loved ones. In a democratic republic, the rules should apply to all, regardless of power or position. But the Biden family seems to operate above the law, reminding us of a dictatorship where rulers are exempt from accountability. We cannot let our country slip away. The time for silence and forced compliance is over. We must stand up for what is right, for the truth that we are made to deny. I have traveled the world and witnessed the consequences of failed nations. I promise you, if America falls, there is nowhere else to go. That's why I am stepping forward to fight for our shared values. I believe in the American Dream, where equal opportunities are earned, not handed out. It's our duty to reclaim our dreams, protect our lives, and to safeguard the well-being of our families. We need true fighters, not politicians and certainly not keyboard warriors. We need fearless individuals who understand the value of our freedoms and will fight tooth and nail to preserve them. Together, we can make a difference. We can refuse to be intimidated, standing tall in the face of adversity. We can ensure that America remains the land of opportunity, where our children can thrive and our dreams can flourish. I am Hung Cao, retired Navy Captain, and I am running for the United States Senate. I am committed to being your voice, your champion, and your unwavering fighter. Join me in this fight for our country's future. Together, we can reclaim what we hold dear and ensure that America remains a beacon of hope and liberty for generations to come.
