By giving today, you will help us further our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia โ€” by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. If you haven't supported our Annual Fund Drive yet, [please do so now, to provide urgently needed care and support and help accelerate global research](. Sincerely, Donna McCullough Chief Mission and Field Operations Officer ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Donna McCullough, Alzheimer's Association Sent: Thursday, January 20, 2022 To: You Subject: Help us start 2022 off right. Show your support of our 2022 Annual Fund Drive today. [Alzheimer's Association]( [DONATE NOW]( [2022 Annual Fund Drive]( [Friend, DONATE NOW. >]( Dear Friend, Many of us make resolutions to begin the new year. Advancing the fight against Alzheimer's disease is a resolution you can make, and a promise you can keep, today. [Please support our 2022 Annual Fund Drive now]( to accelerate critical research and help provide vital care and support to families impacted by Alzheimer's, in your community and mine. Resolutions often mean setting an intention โ€” to exercise more, eat healthier or get more sleep. You should know that researchers around the globe are exploring how those sorts of lifestyle modifications may reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association U.S. Study to Protect Brain Health Through Lifestyle Intervention to Reduce Risk โ€” known as U.S. POINTER study โ€” is a two-year clinical trial to evaluate whether lifestyle interventions that simultaneously target multiple risk factors can protect cognitive function in older adults (age 60-79) at increased risk for cognitive decline. U.S. POINTER is the first such study to be conducted in a large group of Americans. Yet we know that Alzheimer's disease can affect any of us, as everyone is at risk. And it can affect the people we care about โ€” our family, our friends and our neighbors. There are also more than 11 million caregivers in America providing compassionate unpaid care. It's crucial that we make 2022 a year of impact by continuing to accelerate research and providing care and support so no one has to face Alzheimer's alone. I'll be counting on community members, like you, to take the next step and provide your support this year. In recognition of that support, I'm thrilled today to share your 2022 Supporter Card, which was chosen by hundreds of supporters who voted for their favorite design. [I hope it will inspire you to support our 2022 Annual Fund Drive.]( [2022 Membership Card - 800.272.3900 - alz.org] Alzheimer's Association Supporter Loyal Donor [alz.orgยฎ]( We need to keep driving research forward โ€” and [your support of our Annual Fund]( ensures that in addition to providing care and support, we can advance scientific investigations into: - What causes Alzheimer's and who is most likely to develop it. - Risk-reduction and prevention strategies including behavior changes and new drugs. - Ways to detect and diagnose Alzheimer's early and accurately. - New treatments that can delay, slow or stop the onset and progression of dementia. - How to improve care and support for all affected.
