Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 [] December 7, 2023 [] Reader, Billionaires like Amazonâs Jeff Bezos and PayPalâs Peter Thiel are pouring millions of dollars into the anti-aging field of âsenolytics.â Senolytics are drugs that aspire to restore youthfulness by eliminating your bodyâs so-called âzombie cells.â These are cells that are too sick and damaged to carry out their normal functions. arenât completely dead, and that prevents your body from getting rid of them. You see, when youâre young, your immune system clears most zombie cells out of your body. But as you age and your immune system becomes less effective, zombie cells build up and accumulate. The danger of senescent cells is that they can harm nearby healthy cells â in the same way that one moldy apple can rot an entire fruit bowl. Researchers refer to this process as âcellular senescence.â The result of these dysfunctional cells leads to inflammation, weakened immunity, and chronic disease. Especially when it affects your bodyâs own stem cells. As you know, stem cells are your bodyâs are the basic building blocks of your entire body. They can be transformed into virtually every cell type. And they allow your body to heal itself. Itâs critically important to keep your stem cells in peak condition. Thatâs why biotech firms like Jeff Bezoâs are pouring tens of millions of dollars into developing senolytics. Pharmaceutical companies are showing an interest as well.1 But count me as a skeptic. The theory behind senolytic therapies is to kill the senescent cells that cause inflammation, without killing the good cells. In some cases, theyâre the same drugs used in chemotherapy.2 But using drugs that kill âbadâ cells without harming the good ones is impossible. The body is just too complex. And why kill the senescent cells when you can wake them up and put them back to work repairing your body? We already know how to do this. And it doesnât require using the latest âwonder drugâ. Wake up senescent cells with all-natural nutrients In fact, at the Sears Institute for Anti-Aging Medicine weâve learned how to wake up patientsâ zombie cells using natural senolytic therapies. Hereâs what I use with my patients: - Supplement with fisetin. This flavonoid is the planetâs most powerful senolytic. A cell study published in the journal Aging showed that fisetin eliminated about 70% of senescent cells â while causing no harm to healthy, normal human cells.3 There are a number of human trials of fisetin currently in progress.4 But a recent animal study has already shown striking results. When old mice â equivalent to 75 years in human age â were given fisetin, they lived an average of 2.5 months longer. Thatâs a 10% increase in lifespan.5 Fisetin can be found in small amounts in many fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, apples, persimmons, grapes, and onions. But itâs almost impossible to get what you need from food. I recommend you supplement with 100 mg of fisetin once a day. And to increase the bioavailability by as much as 25 times, look for a supplement that also includes fenugreek. This helps protect the fisetin during digestion. - Then, take apigenin before bed: This is another potent phytonutrient and flavonoid with documented senolytic properties. Research reveals apigenin inhibits cell senescence and pro-inflammatory compounds produced by senescent cells. It has also long been known for anti-anxiety properties, and animal studies show it to be protective against Alzheimerâs.6,7 The most abundant sources of apigenin are chamomile tea, parsley, tomatoes, celery, artichokes, peppermint, and the herb basil. Apigenin is also available in supplement form. It can cause drowsiness, so I recommend taking 100 mg before bedtime.
