New study reveals this nutrient fights energy-draining obesity epidemic better than Big Pharma’s expensive injections [Click here](1770d7/ct0_0/1/ms?sid=TV2%3A8FLNjmWoC) to view this message in your browser | [Click here](1770d7/l-002e/zout?sid=TV2%3A8FLNjmWoC) to stop receiving our messages [] [] Al Sears, MD 11905 Southern Blvd. Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 [] August 8, 2024 [] Reader, It’s no secret that obesity is one of the leading causes of chronic disease in the world. But being overweight also zaps your energy and slows you down… Big Pharma’s solution to this ongoing obesity epidemic is to develop more and more weight loss drugs. And why not? They’re cheap to produce and are predicted to net more than $150 billion in profits in the next five years.1 The most popular, the diabetes drug Ozempic, can be produced for less than $5 a month. Yet it’s sold for a whopping $1,000.2 It’s a cash cow… At the Sears Institute, we always recommend natural cures before giving in to Big Pharma drugs. Including pyrroloquinoline quinone, or PQQ. For years, I’ve been recommending this antioxidant as an anti-aging treatment and heart health booster. But now, a new study reveals that this “mitochondria vitamin” also has powerful weight loss and anti-obesity powers. And nothing is safer, more natural, or more effective. Its power comes from its ability to trigger your cells to build healthy new mitochondria – the tiny energy generators found in each one of your cells. Your mitochondria are the source of your body’s master energy system. But the full extent of their power is only just beginning to be understood. A new study by researchers in Japan reveals that by boosting the efficiency of your cellular energy production, PQQ can speed up your body’s metabolism and increase weight loss.3 The researchers discovered that PQQ is a particularly powerful weapon against obesity because it reduces visceral fat. This dangerous kind of fat is stored mostly around your abdominal cavity. Visceral fat becomes more of a problem as you age. And it doesn’t just give you an apple-shaped figure or a swelling beer belly. It wraps itself around your vital internal organs, like your liver, pancreas, and intestines, inflames your tissues, rots your blood vessels, and upsets your body chemistry. Visceral fat is especially dangerous for your heart. Multiple studies reveal that visceral fat around the heart produces protein molecules that can make the heart beat erratically.4 It also leads to high blood pressure and high triglyceride levels, which leave dangerous deposits of plaque inside your blood vessels. It raises your risk of diabetes, colorectal cancer, as well as Alzheimer’s, and other forms of dementia, depression, stroke, arthritis, obesity, sexual dysfunction, and sleep disorders.5,6,7 Fight Fat And Recharge Energy With One Of Nature’s Best Sources Of PQQ Good food choices to get more PQQ include natto, green peppers, kiwi, and of course, grass-fed organ meat. But one of the richest sources comes from parsley. Just five sprigs provide 10% of your daily recommended PQQ intake. This peppery-tasting green is so much more than just a garnish. One of my favorite ways to use it is to include it in my green drink: [spqq drink] Ingredients: - 1 cup parsley - ¼ cup Swiss chard - ¼ cup radicchio - 1 purple carrot - 1 cucumber - 1 lime - ½ cup filtered water Directions: - Wash and prep your vegetables. I like to tear or cut them into large pieces. - Add to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes. - Pour the juice through a strainer and blend again if needed. - Chill, serve, and enjoy! You don’t have to follow this recipe to the letter. You can make it to your taste. You can replace the Swiss chard with kale. Or you can trade out the lime for a lemon. Sometimes I like to throw in a tart green apple or a bit of fresh ginger. But it’s not easy getting enough PQQ from your diet. So I suggest supplementing with at least 20 mg daily. For the best results, take your PQQ with at least 50 mg of CoQ10 – both are key to helping your mitochondria remain healthy. To Your Good Health, Al Sears, MD, CNS P.S. Earlier today, I shared a video describing how you can replace your damaged, worn-out, and dying mitochondria with energy-generating new ones. But don’t worry if you didn’t see it.
