About 30 different yarns were used to knit this scarf ...some yarns got used up and others were reduced tremendously. Since the colors make this scarf unique and beautiful, the stitch used was a stockinette to keep it simple. That way the color effect could be more appreciated. An easy to learn technique was used for changing the colors so that they all blend well together. Many times the stockinette stitch will cause an object to curl some on the sides. BEANIE PATTERN DETAILS This beanie is meant for someone newer to colorwork patterns. It’s knit in the round with only two colors for each colorwork row. The ribbed brim is knit in one color, then the colorwork pattern is worked until the decrease for the crown. We change back to the color of the brim for the decrease so there is no complicated color patterning for the top – just a single color as you decrease the crown.
