A total solar eclipse will traverse the United States from Oregon to South Carolina. While the best view might be in Souther Illinois, there’s [plenty you can expect to see]( here in North Texas. We won’t get a total solar eclipse, but Dallas will likely see 75 percent of the sun blocked out at most. University President Greg Fenves announced the removal in a written statement and said he made the decision to take down the statues following talks with student leaders, faculty, staff and alumni in light of the Aug. 12 clash in Charlottesville, Va. McCain collided with a merchant ship near Singapore. The guided-missile destroyer collided with the Alnic MC, a 600-foot oil and chemical tanker, in waters east of Singapore and the Straits of Malacca early Monday local time. The Navy said injuries to personnel on board and the extent of damage to the ship are still being determined. Initial reports indicate the destroyer had damage to the port side aft.
