A total solar eclipse will traverse the United States from Oregon to South Carolina. While the best view might be in Souther Illinois, there’s [plenty you can expect to see]( here in North Texas. We won’t get a total solar eclipse, but Dallas will likely see 75 percent of the sun blocked out at most. From 10:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. the moon will cover up the sun, but make sure your eyes are properly protected before looking. And: Can't find solar eclipse glasses? Lee, [were being removed from their pedestals]( on the UT-Austin campus late Sunday night. University President Greg Fenves announced the removal in a written statement and said he made the decision to take down the statues following talks with student leaders, faculty, staff and alumni in light of the Aug. 12 clash in Charlottesville, Va. 'Take them down': Thousands rallied [for end of Dallas' Confederate statues](, white supremacy Saturday night. The U.S. guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain arrives in Singapore Monday following a collision off Johor, Malaysia, that left a gaping hole in the ship's port side. Ten sailors were reported missing. (Royal Malaysian Navy via AP) news 10 sailors missing after U.S. Navy destroyer collision near Singapore The U.S. Navy says [10 sailors are missing and five are injured]( after the USS John S. McCain collided with a merchant ship near Singapore. The guided-missile destroyer collided with the Alnic MC, a 600-foot oil and chemical tanker, in waters east of Singapore and the Straits of Malacca early Monday local time. The Navy said injuries to personnel on board and the extent of damage to the ship are still being determined. Initial reports indicate the destroyer had damage to the port side aft. While the other priests slowly walked into Cistercian Abbey Sunday morning dressed in cream colored garments, Marton followed them bedecked in crimson and gold.
