Trump wants to know if he has power to pardon himself, family, aides
Some of President Donald Trump's lawyers are exploring ways to limit or undercut Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, building a case against what they allege are his conflicts of interest and [discussing the president's authority to grant pardons](, according to people familiar with the effort.
Trump has asked his advisers about his power to pardon aides, family members and even himself in connection with the probe, according to one of those people. A second person said Trump's lawyers have been discussing the president's pardoning powers among themselves.
Meanwhile: A San Antonio-area man is accused of [leaving a death threat for U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz](.

Gropening Day
Former Dallas lab tech says in lawsuit that workers celebrated payday by groping each other
A former employee is suing a Dallas laboratory over what she says was months of sexual harassment in the office during [weekly events employees called "Gropening Day."](Â
Holly Pinks, who was hired in January 2016 by Southwest Laboratory in Old East Dallas, said she learned about "Gropening Day" on her first day at the lab.Â
According to the lawsuit, male employees â including her supervisor â told her that every Friday "everyone would be getting groped or touched inappropriately."

Dallas' next police chief insists she's 'up for all the challenges' force faces
Renee Hall will confront a shrinking department, rising crime and police pay issues when she takes over as Dallas' top cop in September â [problems she says she's solved before in Detroit](.Â
While interviewing for the job last week, she pointed out the parallels between the two DPDs.Â
"The city of Detroit has experienced the same elements and challenges that the city of Dallas has right now," she said. "We've come out on top."
