Hebron High School assault allegations
Hebron High School's head football coach spent the first day of spring break in federal court Monday, explaining [why he didn't discipline two players who were accused of sexually assaulting a classmate]( at an off-campus party in 2012.
The classmate sued the Lewisville Independent School District over its handling of the case, alleging violations of Title IX, a federal law protecting students from sex-based discrimination.
Coach Brian Brazil said that he had heard rumors about an assault but that he didn't take any action because school administrators told him they were dealing with the investigation.
Meanwhile: Lewisville ISD says that another [Hebron coach helped plan 'kidnap' hazing of girls]( who were blindfolded with panties and tied up.
And: Texas lawmakers are considering a bill [to help fund evidence testing in sexual assault cases](.

AG Ken Paxton's lawyers invite prosecutors to quit case after they ask for back pay
Attorney General Ken Paxton's lawyers [are attempting to avoid a delay in their client's criminal fraud trials](.
Last week, the three special prosecutors chosen to pursue charges against Paxton [asked for his May 1 trial to be delayed]( until they were paid more than $205,000 for more than a year's worth of work.
Paxton's attorneys said that the prosecutors' request "is as offensive to the conscience as it is irrelevant to our proceedings," and then invited them to quit the case. They also likened the prosecutors to Judas and Cuba Gooding Jr.'s character in the 1996 film Jerry Maguire.

Northeast U.S. braces for a massive blizzard as a frost warning is issued for D-FW
After a cold weekend, a Nor'easter storm placed 31 million people in the northeastern U.S. under a blizzard warning on Tuesday.
[CNN reports](Â that 7,600 U.S. flights have been canceled and that schools throughout the Northeast have been closed. The storm stretches from Virginia to Maine and could have winds reaching 50 to 60 mph.
Meanwhile, [North Texans were cautioned to prepare for possible frost]( overnight. The frost advisory will last from 10 a.m. on Tuesday and affect most of Dallas-Fort Worth and the surrounding counties, according to the National Weather Service.
