In a mail ad sent to his constituents, Price juxtaposed pictures of Adolf Hitler and President Donald Trump, comparing the two point by point. The ad, which features Price’s smiling face on the back and a list of early voting polling places, calls on people to vote for Democrats in the Nov. 6 election. Early voting runs from Oct. 22 to Nov. 2. Dallas County Republican Party chairwoman Missy Shorey, who is married to a Jewish man, called the mailer "pathetic and disgusting" and called on Price to apologize. "I'm trying not to throw up in my mouth," she said. "This is a perfect example of the lies, deceit and depth of how low elected Democrats will go to scare and deceive voters." She added: "What if I put Hitler next to him? How would he like it? It's wrong on every level." Price, who has served as a commissioner for 33 years, is one of the most prominent black politicians in North Texas. He was then rehired on a show-by-show basis before being fired for good this summer. The Trinity River’s gauge level, the water's height above a reference point, was hovering around 24 feet through Monday, but heavy rain in Dallas-Fort Worth on Tuesday caused the river to swell 12 feet. The former Irving High School class of 1963 students meet up a few times a year, this time at the State Fair of Texas on a Thursday afternoon on Senior Day, the day people 60 years or older get in for free. The 70-something women are not alone. Many of the people surrounding Big Tex are over 60. Connie Haley, who came to the fair on her birthday with a group from her retirement center said with a smile that there was "nothing better to do."
