The Dallas police officer accused of fatally shooting a man in his apartment Thursday night has been arrested, officials said Sunday.Â

Fingers will point to Dak Prescott, but fans can also blame season-opening loss on this
SportsDay's David Moore breaks down the Cowboys' clunker of a season opener:
There's no shortage of theories to explain why the Cowboys had such a shortage of points to open the season.
The starters didn't play together enough during the preseason to be crisp. Promises of how creative this group would be in its approach were greatly overstated. The idea that the offense can always count on the ground game with a healthy, motivated Ezekiel Elliott is exaggerated.
List these in whatever order you wish. All, and more, are legitimate. [But in no way, shape or form were the Cowboys ready to open the regular season.](
Tim Cowlishaw: No matter how much you bring up Dez and Witten, [nothing about the Cowboys' passing attack has changed.](
Five thoughts:Â The first three quarters [were brutal for Dak Prescott.](
Randy Gregory: What's next for the Cowboys DE [as another NFL suspension potentially looms?](

Lupe Valdez fights for traction in low-key governor's race against Greg Abbott
For Lupe Valdez, the danger is not campaign blunders, it's that [nobody is watching her low-key race for governor against incumbent Republican Greg Abbott.](
The contest for governor is usually the marquee matchup in Texas' midterm elections. But this time around, the contest between Abbott and Valdez is being described by some analysts as the least anticipated governor's race in Lone Star State history and one that is already over
Lacking the money, star power and organization of another statewide Democratic candidate, U.S. Senate hopeful Beto O'Rourke, Valdez has been relegated to piecing together a campaign on the fly.
Meanwhile Abbott, a one-term incumbent with a big lead in the polls, [has the luxury of using his resources to energize voters for other Republican candidates.](
Editorial:Â The Texas Education Agency wasted millions â [now it needs to tell us what happened.](
Opinion: Texans have a right [to know how our tax dollars are spent](, writes Kelley Shannon.

Finally ...
With pop-up shops and mobile stores, AT&T makes pitch to younger consumers
A few doors down from an artisanal coffee shop and across from a gelateria, a more familiar strip mall staple is stationed: an AT&T store with its familiar globe logo. [Yet this store seems out of place.](
Itâs in Sylvan 30, a West Dallas development thatâs free of corporate chains, anchored by trendy studio and loft apartments that provide the foot traffic for a mix of shops and restaurants designed to attract urban-minded 20- and 30-somethings.
Inside, the AT&T store is decorated with easy-to-move furniture, including shelves on wheels and lightweight couches. A dog bowl awaits four-legged visitors who tag along with customers.
The store is a departure for the Dallas-based cellphone, internet and TV provider. [It is AT&Tâs first pop-up store, and one of 100 that it plans to open across the country by the end of the year.](
