If he is convicted, Ozumba could face up to life in prison. Ozumba is currently on trial for the single charge, but six other sexual assault cases are pending in Collin County. Allegations from other women have also been referred to the Rockwall County District Attorney's Office. The Texas Medical Board has accused Ozumba of unprofessional conduct involving 13 patients. He is accused of sexually assaulting nine patients and engaging in sexual contact and inappropriate sexual behavior with two others. Ted Cruz again tweaked him for "apologizing for Russia" at last week's summit and sending mixed messages]( about U.S. resolve toward foes that meddle in American elections. "President Trump made a mistake with Putin. He should have been more vigorous in that news conference. I think it's a bad idea for the president not to be visibly and vocally standing up to Russia," Cruz told Fox News host Neil Cavuto. "We need to continue focusing on defending this nation, and not be in a position of treating America and Russia as morally equivalent — not be in a position of apologizing for Russia." Cruz emphasized that he's pleased at some of the tough actions the United States has taken against Russia during Trump's 18 months as president, imposing sanctions and sending lethal military aid to help Ukraine fend off its neighbor. [Trump resisted congressional demands to impose penalties on Russia.]( Meanwhile: [Gun rights activists shredded a proposed “red flag” law]( that would let judges temporarily remove guns from Texans who show warning signs of violence. Who goes to a Texas Rangers game when it's 108 degrees? Meet these guys In one of her latest columns, Sharon Grigsby, Metro columnist writes: The heat makes us crazy. [That's the only explanation](. Otherwise, why — on a weekend when people were all but ordered to limit activities to the indoors — did 8,000 some fans sit in the stands of Globe Life Park in Arlington on Sunday afternoon? These were people so possessed that they paid money to suffer like this. Triple-digit heat records set over the last few days were no deterrent. You could almost understand the Cleveland expats who came to see their beloved Indians, who unlike the home team are playing some pretty good baseball. But what about those Texas Rangers fans in the stands despite their team going nowhere this season? [It's baseball, y'all. And it's glorious](. AdVERTISEMENT 👋 That's all for this morning!
