June 04,  2018 By Amanda Wilkins Good evening! Here is a look at the top headlines of the day. 🔎 Prefer the online view? It's [here](. Medical supplies and other debris are seen Monday on the football field at the Juanita Craft Recreation Center in Dallas, the scene of a shooting Sunday night. (Vernon Bryant/Staff Photographer) CRIME Five shot at neighborhood football game near Fair Park Five people were shot in the crossfire on Sunday night as violence broke out at a neighborhood football game near Fair Park. For years, southern Dallas residents gathered behind the rec center to watch players from two southern Dallas neighborhoods compete against each other. They rented out a bounce house for a recent game so the kids would have something to do while everyone else watched football. There was no bounce house on Sunday, but there were plenty of children in the crowd. A disturbance broke out around 9:20 p.m. between two men attending the game. [A man walked up to the field, got on a moped and opened fire on the crowd, police said](. "'Hey he got that pistol,'" witness Tammy Burns recalled a man yelling. "When he said that, the shots started going like it was the Fourth of July." (Tom Fox/Staff Photographer) BUSINESS Southwest Airlines sees decline in bookings after Flight 1380 accident Fallout from the April engine failure on Southwest Airlines Flight 1380, which resulted in a passenger death, [is expected to put a dent in its second-quarter revenue](, the Dallas-based carrier told stock market regulators in a filing Monday. In the April-June quarter, Southwest expects operating revenue per available seat mile — a closely-watched industry metric that signals an airline's profitability — to decrease by 3 percent from the same period last year. The company attributed the projected decline to reduced marketing efforts in the wake of the Flight 1380 accident. A company spokesperson said in an email that it's too early to tell how long the impact on bookings will last. $100 million price tag: By one industry expert account, Warren Buffett's HomeServices of America Inc. might have paid as much as $100 million[in an all-cash deal for Ebby Halliday Cos.]( Also in real estate: [North Texas building activity continued to decline in May](, with a drop in both new commercial building projects and residential construction. Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips decorates a cake inside his store in Lakewood, Colo., in 2014. (Brennan Linsley/AP) COURTS Supreme Court sides with baker who refused to make wedding cake for gay couple The U.S. Supreme Court [has ruled that a Colorado baker had the right to refuse to make a wedding cake for a gay couple](. In a 7-2 decision Monday, the court said the Colorado Civil Rights Commission violated Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips' First Amendment right to oppose same-sex marriage when it expressed hostility toward "his sincerely held religious beliefs." While it sided with Phillips in this case, the court made clear its ruling doesn't give businesses free rein to discriminate against LGBT customers. "When the Colorado Civil Rights Commission considered this case, it did not do so with the religious neutrality that the Constitution requires," Justice Anthony M. Kennedy wrote for the majority. In 2012, Phillips declined to make a wedding cake for Charlie Craig and David Mullins, a same-sex couple. The two men then took the issue to the commission, which sided with the couple, rejecting the baker's argument that making such a cake would violate his First Amendment rights. The commissioners "showed elements of a clear and impermissible hostility" toward Phillips, the court said, when they disparaged his faith and compared it "to defenses of slavery and the Holocaust." More court rulings: The U.S. Supreme Court [vacated a decision Monday to grant an abortion to an unauthorized immigrant minor in Texas]( — seven months after she had one. "Jane Doe" has since turned 18.
