Dallas' Melinda Gates opens up on why it's important for her to speak up now
Reflection and role modeling are where Melinda Gates is these days â realizing that the lessons sheâs learned over the years about workplace success and personal fulfillment can impact the world.
In the past, she was so reticent about making her personal journey the center of attention that not that many people realize she was born and raised in Dallas â the 1982 valedictorian of Ursuline Academy and onetime captain of its Rangerette drill team who was voted "Best Student" and "Most Likely to Succeed" by her classmates.
[She agreed to a rare interview withÂ]([The News](Â in what turned out to be a wide-ranging and deeply personal conversation â as much as we could cram into the 30 minutes allotted to us in her highly scheduled life.

He just agreed with late-night host Bill Maher, who described Cruz as one.
The exchange occurred during OâRourkeâs roughly 10-minute interview with the host of Real Time with Bill Maher, as the Democrat hoping to defeat the powerhouse Republican in a closely watched Senate race described his decision to refuse money from political action committees.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - The Rangers went for double the Odor Saturday.

His brother, also Rougned Odor, was still playing second base. [It was the first time the two brothers, four years apart in age, had played together.](
"I was really happy," said the senior Odor, who has a different middle name than his brother. "I know my mom and dad were really happy for this. And I hope it happens again."
Odor -Â the major leaguer - said it was the first time he'd even had a chance to see his younger brother, who spent the last three seasons in Dominican Republic Summer League play since he signed a professional contract in 2013.
