Christina morris case
'How did we miss her?' Area where remains of Christina Morris were found had been searched before
Volunteers looking for kidnap victim Christina Morris [had searched three times in the wooded area where she was eventually found](. Police searched there several times, too.Â
"We were right there," said Robert O'Neil, one of the coordinators for the dedicated group of searchers known as Team Christina. "There's gotta be more to it than we just missed her ... we were very thorough in our searches."
The field where Morris' remains were found was one of a handful of areas checked multiple times because it fit the search criteria. It was a secluded area accessible by car. It was near the cell tower in Anna where Arochi's phone connected the day after Morris went missing. And it had a dirt road with ditches and moisture from a nearby creek, conditions needed for a type of grass recovered from the undercarriage of Arochi's Camaro.Â
Previously: The search is finally over. After 1,285 days, [Christina Morris has been found](. On Thursday, police confirmed that the human remains discovered in an Anna field belong to Morris.

Atmos investigated gas leaks night before fatal explosion, didn't cut off service or evacuate
The evening before a house exploded in northwest Dallas and killed a 12-year-old girl, Atmos Energy crews [were investigating and repairing gas leaks directly behind the house](, company emails obtained by The Dallas Morning News show.
And in the two days after the home blew up, Atmos discovered at least 28 leaks in the neighborhood, the emails show.
About 12 hours before the explosion, an email from an Atmos Energy employee to the Texas Railroad Commission described how the company had been âmonitoring a situation in a residential area of Dallas near Love Field airport.ââ Atmos was investigating two separate leaks involving house fires, and âmeasured gas was potentially a factor in both.â

Cartel violence isn't scaring Americans away from Los Cabos
Joel Boschee heard the warnings to stay away from his favorite vacation spot. He saw the headlines describing an explosion of violence.
At the urging of family members, he and his wife toyed with the idea of spending their leisure time in another exotic spot. They tried Hawaii.
In the end, the elegance of Los Cabos, its raw desert beauty surrounded by glistening Pacific and Sea of Cortez waters, lured them back.
The Boschees say they felt safer here than in some U.S. cities.
