Possible human remains found in field in Anna may be linked to kidnap victim
Investigators were searching a field Wednesday in Anna where what's believed to be human remains were found Wednesday morning [that may be linked to the case of kidnap victim Christina Morris,]( who went missing in 2014.
The remains were discovered about 10 a.m. by a crew clearing trees on private land. A massive team of law enforcement officials went to the scene, which is about 50 to 60 yards south of Taylor Boulevard and Mesquite Lane.
Authorities say it's too early to know whether the partial remains might be those of Morris, who was kidnapped from The Shops at Legacy in Plano on August 30, 2014.Ă‚ Ă‚ The remains have been sent to the Collin County medical examiner's office for positive identification.
Previously: Enrique Arochi's attorney [says the jury lacked evidence to convict Arochi](Ă‚ of Christina Morris' kidnapping.

Elections
Why Beto O'Rourke's primary win doesn't bode well for unseating Ted Cruz
El Paso Democrat Beto O’Rourke may have quickly clinched the nomination to become Ted Cruz’s Senate challenger this fall, but it was far from a clean sweep.
On Tuesday, O’Rourke won just 62 percent of the Democratic vote, while one of his lesser known challengers — Houston progressive Sema Hernandez — not only garnered nearly a quarter of the vote share, but captured dozens of border counties.
Some political analysts [say that should give O’Rourke heartburn]( and shows he has work to do in winning over Hispanic voters and raising his name ID, especially against the universally known Republican incumbent.
Editorial: The odds are against Beto O'Rourke's bet this fall, [but the safe money isn't with Ted Cruz's strategy either.](

Whistleblower says culture of cover-up perpetuated teen inmates' abuse at Texas adult prison
During her four years as the supervisor of a program for teen inmates jailed at the Clemens Unit in Brazoria, an adult prison, Dominique Mitchell repeatedly alleged abuse and neglect.
Guards derided her as “a snitch.” Bosses admonished her for speaking out of turn, sending too many emails, asking too many questions.
An internal investigation into an August 2017 incident eventually led to the departure of two high-profile officials, including the prison warden and a senior director, and the state has decided to move the program’s teen inmates to another, more secure, prison.
Mitchell lost her job, too. Now, worried that systemic problems will continue, [she is speaking out about what she calls a culture of cover-up]( in the program meant to rehabilitate these teenage criminals.
Missing the mark: Dallas' [failure to seize guns from domestic abusers]( is 'unacceptable,' officials say.

Twerking cows go viral on Facebook, courtesy of an East Texas high-school dance team
There's something oddly mesmerizing about these cow-people, who hail from the small Texas town of Hallsville, two hours east of Dallas. Video of the Hallsville Bobcat Belles' hilarious "novelty dance" -- where they dressed up as Chick-fil-A cows -- has gone viral since they competed at a dance show on Saturday at Lewisville High School, north of Dallas.
Just watch these dancers attempting to swish their hips inside giant suits that, slowly, boing, boing each direction. [It's so ridiculous,]([it's awesome.](
