Crime Police identify father, children killed in North Richland Hills murder-suicide Police have identified [Chris Dawson, 36, and his two children, 9-year-old Luke Dawson and 5-year-old Aubrey Dawson]( in Saturday’s apparent murder-suicide. North Richland Hills police believe Chris Dawson shot the children before turning a shotgun on himself. The children's mother called police about 7:15 a.m. and said she found them dead with their father, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. She was not injured. Police said the department had no prior calls or history with the address. Accidental death: A man died Tuesday morning after [being struck by a bullet when a gun accidentally discharged]( at a Houston-area shooting range. Judge Michael Acuna issued an order Tuesday denying a legal do-over for the dog, and her panhandling owner, Sean Baugh. The judge, who ordered the dog destroyed following a hearing on Nov. 20, didn't say why he denied the motions for reconsideration and a new trial filed by Baugh's ever-expanding team of well-known attorneys, only that their motions were denied. Acuna would give the dog only a 48-hour stay of execution, which is set to expire at 8:57 a.m. Thursday.
