President Donald Trump also wants expansive new authority to quickly deport people caught crossing the border, and others nabbed in the interior. Aides made clear that he views the wall as a central to national security, a campaign promise he won't abandon -- even after months of mixed signals on how many miles of barrier would satisfy him and even some hints that he was no longer as committed to the project as he was during the campaign. Officials issued an Amber Alert for the girl Saturday.  She was last seen about 3 a.m. Saturday in the family's back yard in the 900 block of Sunningdale. Her father Wesley Mathews, 37, has been arrested and charged with abandoning or endangering the girl, who police continued to search for Sunday.  In southeast Texas: A man killed a 14-year-old cheerleader, then turned the gun on himself the next day, [police say.]( In Haltom City: Four people were shot when they [exchanged gunfire during a home invasion]( Saturday night, police said.
