Donate now to support emergency response and ongoing work to end violence and bring peace. [AFSC logo]( Gaza Emergency Response [DONATE NOW]( Dear Friend, In the past few days, with escalating attacks in Israel and Gaza, I’ve been in touch with our staff in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza. They have been reporting that they are safe, but the message I received from Gaza yesterday was alarming. No water. No public electricity and few remaining generators or solar panels. Internet and phone connections are being cut. Bombings have devastated schools and other potentially safe shelters. Rumors of incoming troops. There is no way out, no corridor for civilians to avoid the destruction. As part of the AFSC global community, you have the opportunity to make a difference. [We ask that you help us support people in Gaza with a generous gift today.]( AFSC has a long history in Gaza, going back to the 1940s when we helped displaced people with their humanitarian needs. We anticipate that when Gaza reopens for humanitarian responses—and that day cannot come soon enough—we will be on the ground, helping people recover, heal, and take steps toward peace with justice. As Quaker peacebuilders, we know that escalating war will not bring peace. It only brings more destruction. We need to stop escalating militarism now and instead escalate compassion and solidarity. [Your donation today]( is a sign of that compassion. You are helping us secure the resources for the much-needed humanitarian response to this crisis. You are showing people trapped in Gaza they are not alone. You are showing that the AFSC community is with them. Yours in service, [Headshot]   Kerri Kennedy Associate General Secretary for International Programs [DONATE NOW]( American Friends Service Committee 1501 Cherry Street Philadelphia, PA 19102 United States [AFSC.org]( | [unsubscribe](
