The policy change would unlawfully deny asylum to people who passed through Mexico or other countries before arriving at the U.S. southern border. That would cut off legal access for most migrants fleeing dangerous situations and seeking safety in the U.S. We still have time to stop this. The public has until March 27 to submit comments to the federal government before the policy becomes final.
