In Guatemala, the community of Nebaj has seen a growing number of Western drugstores and rising medicine costs in recent years. Through this project, families in the community are now growing 35 different kinds of healing plants. They are providing free, natural remedies for the community while keeping their ancestral knowledge alive. The project is part of AFSC's work with communities worldwide to build a future where all people can thrive. Children are dying of starvation. Still, Israel continues to block most aid from entering Gaza. The international community must do more to end this humanitarian crisis.
