Mike Dunleavy's administration. From 1909 to 1963, the infamous inmate Robert "Birdman" Stroud was housed at some of America's more notable prisons, including Alcatraz. But, as historian David Reamer writes, the murder that first landed the Birdman in prison occurred on a cold winter night in Alaska.
