The winner, who will finish out the rest of Don Young's term, won't be known for a few weeks. - Incumbent Lisa Murkowski is narrowly ahead of Trump-backed Republican Kelly Tshibaka in early voting results for the U.S. Senate primary. The top four vote-getters in that race will advance to the November election. - Anchorage's mayor has vetoed several funding items in a federal relief spending package approved by the Assembly, including millions of dollars for purchasing low-income and supportive housing units. Those who didn't vote early made their way to polling locations across the state yesterday in Alaska's first ever ranked choice election. Candidates for state and federal office also took to the streets to wave signs in a last chance to get their faces in front of voters.
