Assembly members overrode the veto in a 9-2 vote â eight votes were required. After the vote, Mayor Dave Bronson said that whether residents wear masks is a personal decision. In a letter from members of the Alaska chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the physicians listed their concerns about Dr. Michael Savitt's comments at a recent Assembly meeting.
