Email Preheader Text

“You’re not doing well at your job”  Imagine if your boss said that to you.  How would you feel?  And what thoughts would be running into your head?  If you’re like most people, you’d probably think…  “I’m going to get fired” or “I’m just not good enough for this job”.  But if you’re a high performer, then you know that you don’t have to take that personally.  The rare individuals who eventually become Millionaires and even BILLIONAIRES…  Would say “okay, what do I need to create or change in order for me to perform better at my job?”  And even better.  The top earners in any job would even ask the boss with no shame or guilt…  “What is it that you would like to see me perform better in?”  And this is the key difference between someone who is in NEGATIVE MODE…  And someone who is in SOLUTION MODE.  One person just dwells on the negativity of their situation and they allow their fear to keep them as a slave.  But the other person goes into SOLUTION MODE no matter what setbacks get thrown at them…  And they ALWAYS come out on the other side as a stronger human being than they were before.  Because if you go into NEGATIVE MODE and you start thinking, “I’m not good enough”...  Then what happens is you start to fall into a NEGATIVE SPIRAL!  You start to think…  “If I’m not good enough then that means I won’t be able to step up.  If I can’t step up then I’ll struggle.  If I struggle, then I won’t be able to survive.  If I don’t survive, then I’ll lose everything”  You see how you just went down a negative spiral?  And this negative spiral came from the belief of “I’m not good enough”.  In other words, because you CHOSE to be in NEGATIVE MODE…  You fell down this negative spiral.  But all your boss told you was that you were “not performing well”.  You just MADE IT MEAN that you were not good enough…  Which is NOT true at all.  Sometimes, I get on my team and I let them know that we have to level up…  Or else we won’t be hitting our goals.   And my team doesn't take it personally.  They just go into SOLUTION MODE and say, “cool Joel. What do we need to do?”  And then we start working on it. Easy right?  But they could’ve just as easily gone into NEGATIVE MODE and say to themselves…  “Joel thinks I’m not good enough. I must be a failure”.  Then they start backing out, playing small and not showing up.  Then their performance gets worse and worse.  Then I would have to fire them at some point.  All because they decided to go into NEGATIVE MODE.  But here’s where it gets better.  Now that you’re aware that no matter what happens to you…  You can either CHOOSE to sit in NEGATIVE MODE or SOLUTION MODE…  You can now CHOOSE to be in SOLUTION MODE  If you listen to all the world class leaders that I interviewed in my A2S podcast…  You’ll see that every single one of them have attained their level of success…  Because they CHOSE to be in SOLUTION MODE!  And like we’ve talked about in yesterday’s email…  Every thought is HABITUAL.  So you want to practice being in solution mode everyday…  Until it becomes a natural habit.  And it’s not as hard as you think.  When you’re choosing between Negative Mode and Solution Mode…  All it takes is just one second for you to switch to SOLUTION MODE!  ONE SECOND!  And if you take action on this consistently…  Before you know it, you won’t be a slave to your Negative Mode anymore…  And you’ll find yourself performing closer and closer to the millionaires and even BILLIONAIRES of the world…  Even if you’re nowhere near their level yet.  Because like I said, it takes only one second for you to CHOOSE to go into Solution Mode!  Hope this email has ignited a spark inside of you.  God bless! . .
