After waiting two years to hear back, I was lucky enough to meet Adam, who had just moved to LA. Adam and I paired up for a day, a kind of trial run, and Adam brought me to the beach in Venice where he was living at the time. After an afternoon battling the crashing waves and having a blast, we dubbed ourselves The Survivors. It was an incredible day and the start of one of the most important relationships in my life. After being on a waiting list, I finally had a Big Brother.
