As the legal walls continue to close in around Trump, he will only become more dangerous, with a pliant, far-right MAGA majority in control of the House willing to do his every bidding. So we have to fight back. [Adam Schiff for Senate]( {NAME}, it was a rough last week for Donald Trump. [Before I cover the quick details, can you contribute $3 to help my Senate campaign reach our October fundraising deadline goal before midnight?]( His so-called “legal defense” team-turned-criminal co-defendants in the Georgia election interference case are starting to fold like a bunch of cheap suits (are you surprised?). First went Sidney Powell. Then, Kenneth Chesebro. Next, Jenna Ellis. One by one last week, they marched before the bench in a Fulton County courtroom and pled guilty. District Attorney Fani Willis has called the case against Trump and others a “criminal racketeering enterprise to overturn Georgia’s presidential election result.” Meanwhile, Trump was seen storming out of a Manhattan courtroom after a judge fined him $10,000 for violating a gag order for intimidating courtroom staff in his civil fraud trial. So with the legal proceedings ensuring accountability for Trump, we can all take a collective breath and quit worrying, right? Not so fast, {NAME}. In spite of — perhaps because of his multiple criminal legal cases — Trump is polling stronger than ever with the Republican base. In the Republican presidential primary, he’s absolutely running away with it. It’s NOT close. Trump 61%, DeSantis next closest at 11% in one of the latest national polls. A 50-point lead. It’s more likely than ever that we’ll be voting in a Biden-Trump rematch next November. You remember 2016 just like I do, when legions of pundits wrote off a caustic, scandal-ridden, self-proclaimed billionaire as being wholly incapable of winning the presidency of the United States of America. They were wrong. And there’s only one thing we can do — leave absolutely no doubt that we will do everything to stop him, win this Senate race, and save our democracy. As the legal walls continue to close in around Trump, he will only become more dangerous, with a pliant, far-right MAGA majority in control of the House willing to do his every bidding. So we have to fight back. [That’s why my ask today is so important — will you make a contribution of $3, or any amount, not only to reach our October campaign fundraising goal before midnight, but also to help me continue to hold Trump and his cronies accountable, win this Senate race, and make the progress we desperately need to protect our democracy within the U.S. Senate?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [EXPRESS DONATE $3]( [EXPRESS DONATE $10]( [EXPRESS DONATE $25]( [EXPRESS DONATE $50]( [EXPRESS DONATE $100]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( I know this was a longer read than most, but with so many important recent developments, I thought you deserved to know.
