For every blow the GOP tried to deal, I was defended by some of the most compassionate and brilliant

For every blow the GOP tried to deal, I was defended by some of the most compassionate and brilliant minds in congress. [Adam Schiff for Senate]( If you didn’t get the chance to watch last week’s debate on the House floor before the vote to censure Adam, you missed out on quite the circus when the most extreme of the extreme MAGA Republicans took to the floor to go after him. This included Marjorie Taylor Greene, who attacked him for serving on the January 6th Committee, claiming he perpetuated, “the fake narrative that January 6 was an insurrection, and it was not.” Then she made it clear what this sham resolution was really about: Stopping Adam from running for Senate so that California can adopt policies that she thinks would be more suitable for our state. “Adam Schiff is running for Senate in California. California has a lot of things messed up. California is not the model that the United States needs. As a matter of fact their government policies are atrocious.” — Marjorie Taylor Greene Thanks Marjorie, but we don’t need some hateful conspiracy theorist telling us who Californians should elect to the Senate, or trashing our state and the millions of people who make it wonderful. But MTG wasn’t the only MAGA crazy to sound off. Here is a taste of what Adam had to confront: “Schiff abused his privileges, claiming to know the truth, while leaving Americans in the dark about his web of lies. Lies so severe they altered the course of the country forever.” — Anna Paulina Luna  “If Adam Schiff has a shred of human decency left, he would resign from Congress in disgrace. His tombstone should read of his failed career in Congress and should be one word: Liar.” — Lauren Boebert But for every blow the GOP tried to deal, Adam was defended by some of the most wonderful Democrats in Congress — Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, Pete Aguilar, Jim McGovern, Mike Quigley, and more — leaders who he is proud to call friends. “Today we are on the floor of the House, where the other side has turned this body, this chamber – where slavery was abolished, where Medicare and Social Security and everything were instituted – they’ve turned it into a puppet show. A puppet show.” — Nancy Pelosi  “Adam Schiff has been an incredible member of Congress. He exposed Trump’s lies and corruption, impeached him, and got a bipartisan conviction vote in the Senate.” — Jim McGovern  “What really gnaws at the Majority, what really bothers them, is that Mr. Schiff was way better than anybody on their team. At debate. At leadership. At messaging. At legal knowledge. He kicked their ass.” — Mike Quigley But it was Adam who said it best, when he called out Republicans for their cowardice. For the MAGA Republicans who are undoubtedly stalking our emails, let us repeat him: “The question, my Republican colleagues, is not why am I the subject of this false resolution for doing my constitutional duty, but why are you not? Why are you not standing beside me, the subject of a similar rebuke for speaking the truth? Why did you not stand up to Donald Trump, why did you not reject his immorality, why did you not condemn his dishonesty, why did you not speak out when his horde attacked our Capitol, or now, when he treats the nation’s secrets with such carelessness, lawlessness, and disdain, why did you hide from efforts to hold him accountable, why were you silent, afraid, unwilling to do your ethical, constitutional duty, why did you cower — why do you still?” — Adam Schiff Adam’s censure just proves how effective he’s been at confronting the endless lies, and corruption perpetrated by Trump, McCarthy, and MAGA Republicans. He’s defended our Constitution and country, and it was moving to hear his colleagues praise that work as well. The GOP is desperate to keep him out of the Senate because they know how effective he is at holding them accountable. To be direct: they’re scared as hell of what he can do to hold them accountable as a Senator. And we’re going to make sure they find out. [Chip in $3 today to help elect Adam to the Senate.
