Donald Trump is a con man, a charlatan and a twice-impeached disgraced former president. He grifted the government out of millions, turned the levers of government power against his enemies, and abused the power of his office over and over again. [Adam Schiff for Congress]( Friend — Donald Trump is a con man, a charlatan, and a twice-impeached disgraced former president. He grifted the government out of millions, turned the levers of government power against his enemies, and abused the power of his office over and over again. And Trump just announced he’s running for the presidency yet again. Promoting new lies about the 2022 election as he did it. [We can’t let him win. We just can’t. That’s why I’m asking you to chip in $10 right now so we can begin building the resources we need to Stop Trump.]( Listen, I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that our democracy will not survive another four years of Donald Trump in the Oval Office. At least it won’t look anything like the democracy we have now. This is a deeply unethical and dishonest con man who demanded his underlings commit illegal acts, stonewalled all oversight by Congress, and sought to have the DOJ and IRS investigate his political enemies. That was all in his first term. I shudder to think about what would happen in a second. Given the GOP failure in the midterms — of historic proportions — many in the Republican Party are starting to have doubts about the wisdom of clinging to this failed leader. They would not abandon him because he is dishonest (they are okay with that), or because he is immoral (no problem), or even because he is a danger to our country (they can live with that). They will only abandon him if they think he is a loser — and their continued subservience to him will make them losers. Which means we must continue to make sure that Trump and his hand-picked candidates, like Herschel Walker, lose and lose big. Until that happens, the GOP will continue to do whatever he wants. They will say whatever he says. And they will carry his water no matter how outrageous his demands. Even if that means overturning the next election. Especially if it means overturning the next election. And with Republicans possibly taking control of the House in January, they will do whatever it takes to carry out his political vendettas. Going after Joe Biden and his children, beginning impeachment proceedings against cabinet members, stripping me of my committees, etc. It will be chaos. That’s why this is all so urgent, and why we have to begin planning now. That’s why I’m so glad this grassroots team is on our side. Because we have what it takes to take on Trump’s MAGA movement and win. We just proved it, and we will need to do it again. [Can you chip in $10 to immediately counter Trump’s announcement? We must all do our part to stand up for our democracy and stand up to Donald Trump.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [EXPRESS DONATE $5]( [EXPRESS DONATE $10]( [EXPRESS DONATE $25]( [EXPRESS DONATE $50]( [EXPRESS DONATE $100]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( I’ll have more to say in the coming days. But I want to thank you for being part of our fight to protect and preserve our democracy. It truly matters. Thanks, Adam 150 E.
