Recent polling shows the Democrats with a small — one percent — advantage when voters are asked which party they would like to control Congress. [Adam Schiff for Congress]( {NAME}, For just a moment, let me take you back to Saturday, November 7, 2020. After three and a half excruciating days of ballot counting, and endless lies and Twitter diatribes from the twice-impeached president, the Associated Press and the major news outlets declared Joe Biden the winner and president-elect of the United States. Yet Democrats had fallen short of claiming a majority in the Senate, and our House majority had barely *just barely* survived — losing more than a dozen seats to Kevin McCarthy and the Republicans. At that moment, we had avoided four more years of Donald Trump, but our prospects of getting anything through a Republican Senate were slim. And McConnell looked like he might be back for two more years as majority leader. We had two runoff elections in Georgia, but we would have to run the table there if we were going to be able to govern. But Democrats beat the odds and flipped the Senate through Georgia — and it’s exactly what we’ll need to do again if we’re going to keep our House majority, elect more Democrats to the Senate, and break the filibuster that’s prevented so much progress. {NAME}, I can’t promise you that it will be easy. In fact, I can tell you with all certainty that we have a tough fight ahead of us. Recent polling shows the Democrats with a small — one percent — advantage when voters are asked which party they would like to control Congress. That’s a lot better than it had been, but it’s still a coin toss. We will have to fight hard to win, but we can do this. And we know the consequences if we don’t. We’re seeing the consequences of GOP policies on the news every day — the loss of rights and freedoms, the damage to our democratic institutions, a reactionary social agenda, and no reprieve from the scourge of gun violence. That’s why I have to ask: [Will you contribute any amount to my campaign today to help me defend our House Majority with everything I’ve got? We can beat the odds again, but it will require all of us working as one to support Democrats running nationwide.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [EXPRESS DONATE $10]( [EXPRESS DONATE $25]( [EXPRESS DONATE $50]( [EXPRESS DONATE $100]( [EXPRESS DONATE $250]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( Thanks for anything you’re able to pitch in.
