{NAME} — Our time is quickly running out. But I'm not talking about the FEC deadline in 48 hours like every other political email in your inbox right now. I'm talking about the time for us to act and fight for our democracy — before it's too late. Instead of acting with fierce urgency to combat voter suppression efforts, pass the President’s agenda, and protect our democracy, many Senators, including some Democrats, have given in to Mitch McConnell’s desire to filibuster voting rights. While the Senators fiddle, Republicans in states across the country aren’t stopping their efforts at disenfranchisement. They’ve already passed 33 voter suppression laws in 19 states this year alone. They have stripped local election officials of their authority in states like Georgia, where the GOP legislature can meddle in the vote count in Democratic counties and nullify results. And they’re just getting started. They have a Fox News misinformation machine spewing propaganda across our screens 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Not to mention, they’re threatening to remove me from my committees and expel me from Congress. From Donald Trump to Marjorie Taylor Greene to thousands of their right-wing supporters. So yes, {NAME}, our time is running out. And I need your help. Frankly, this FEC deadline is only so important because it’s a checkpoint in our race to grow and sustain a grassroots movement to stop this assault on our democracy. That's why your donation is critical. Not because it comes in before 11:59 PM on Friday. But because we'll need it in the year to come. So, can you pitch in $10 or any amount that feels right to you to uphold our democracy and stop Republicans from taking back Congress? We have a long year ahead of us but we needed to start preparing yesterday.
