{NAME} — Louis DeJoy, the Republican megadonor and Trump’s hand-picked Postmaster General, is reportedly under FBI investigation. Color me shocked. Look, we’ve known since last year about DeJoy’s Postal Service sabotage. We’ve known about his multimillion-dollar investment in a competing contractor. We’ve known that he personally gave $1.1 million to Trump and the GOP. We called it out then. And we need to call it out now. Thanks to new reporting from the Washington Post, we can see how deep DeJoy’s campaign finance corruption reportedly ran. Here’s how the alleged donor scheme worked: DeJoy or one of his aides would urge employees at his North Carolina company New Breed Logistics to “write checks and attend fundraisers at his mansion” for Republican candidates in exchange for salary bonuses. The Washington Post found that “between 2000 and 2014, 124 individuals who worked for the company together gave more than $1 million to federal and state GOP candidates. Many had not previously made political donations.” DeJoy’s employees and family members, including his college-aged children, made contributions totaling over $150,000 to Republican candidates and committees, including over $50,000 to Trump Victory. If these allegations are true, Louis DeJoy must be held legally accountable for denying them and lying under oath to Congress. But one thing should be clear to all of us right now: DeJoy’s time running the USPS is up. [Remove DeJoy Now]( DeJoy spent the election year banning overtime for Postal Service employees, decommissioning mail-sorting machines, and removing drop boxes. It didn’t matter to Louis DeJoy that we were in a deadly pandemic that had millions of Americans relying on the mail for their medications, businesses, and safely voting by mail. In fact that was the point. What mattered was undercutting the agency he was sworn to lead to pursue his own financial self-interest. DeJoy just announced a new “10-year plan” that would represent the largest rollback of consumer mail services in a generation, and unless the USPS Board of Governors fires him, we’ll continue to see the Postal Service degraded and sabotaged by Trump’s partisan political appointee. [It’s long past time we remove Louis DeJoy from his post, and protect the Postal Service from his self-dealing and disastrous plans.]( [Sign the petition]( The Post Office and postal workers deserve better than Louis DeJoy. And we need a postal service that works. Let’s take action. — Adam Paid for and authorized by Schiff for Congress Schiff for Congress 150 E.
