Tonight at one of his political rallies, the President of the United States once again attacked me, repeating his insistence that I should be âlocked up.â
And then, his supporters joined in, chanting âlock him up, lock him up.â
I donât know what âwatermelonheadâ means, but the truth is, his attacks are no laughing matter.
When a President eggs on his supporters in this way, we have already seen what it brings, as we did in the terrorist plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan. There is nothing normal or acceptable about a President calling for his political opponents â whether it is me, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Gretchen Whitmer, or anyone else â to be jailed, or worse.
Like I said yesterday, itâs the behavior of a tin pot dictator. And it must stop.
This election is our one and only chance to stop it for good, and with only 13 days left until Election Day, weâre running out of time to mobilize voters and kick Trump out of office, forever.
