Hey, it’s me again. Normally I wouldn’t reach out to you twice in one day, but given Donal

[Adam Schiff for Senate]( Hey, it’s me again. Normally I wouldn’t reach out to you twice in one day, but given Donald Trump’s schedule of late, it’s not often that he’s been able to get out of the courtroom and hit the campaign trail. But he just did today, in South Jersey, so it’s critical that we not allow the dozens of lies he just spout on stage to go unchallenged. One thing I’ve learned from the roles in which I’ve served — as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, congressional committee chairman, impeachment manager, and January 6 Committee member — is that our system of democratic governance will only endure as long as our oath of office means something. That is what this entire election is about — no matter what Trump tries to distract us with. Are we as good as our word? Trump’s Supreme Court justice nominees told the Senate Judiciary Committee that Roe v. Wade was 50 years of settled legal precedent. Are we as good as our word? Donald Trump has created with his lies, the Big Lie most of all, a permission structure for MAGA Republicans to issue Orwellian denials of facts, truths, and reality. As a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, I have made it a mission to protect the rule of law and restore integrity to the courts — particularly the highest court in the land, which has become a tragically partisan institution. In the Senate, the Judiciary Committee has the added responsibility of confirming high-level appointments and making judicial confirmations. Under Biden, we have made historic progress, for example, in confirming more Black women to the federal judiciary than all previous presidential administrations — combined. For the good of the country, when we win this race and make it to the United States Senate, we must do so with a Democratic majority and President Biden in the White House — not fighting President Donald Trump on right-wing appointments while being in the political minority. The stakes are huge. [Please, I need your donation to help defeat Steve Garvey in California and protect vulnerable Democrats across the country.
