Friday morning Nick Timiraos at the Wall Street Journal reported that the Fed is considering slowing rate hikes in December and stopping them early next year. And Reuters reported, "The U.S. central bank should avoid putting the economy into an "unforced downturn" by raising interest rates too sharply, and it's time to start talking about slowing the pace of the hikes in borrowing costs, San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly said on Friday." The market LOVED the message! Has the market turned, or is this just another bear rally? But with this market we can't be sure if this is a turn around or just a bit of exuberance at the news about rates. We may see some people selling into the strength, that slows things down.
