Hey {NAME}, What is really holding you back from naturally relieving your back, butt, or sciatica pain? This was the exact question I asked myself shortly after I started my career. Sometimes people got better, sometimes they didnât⦠everyoneâs bruises healed, but healing âback painâ seemed to be a different story. It all began to make sense when I came across this short tale a few years ago. Iâd like to share it with you⦠It goes like this: =========================================== A mom and her son are in their kitchen, rustling up a classic meatloaf. They've shared this bonding ritual dozens of times, and every time, they diligently chop off the sides of the meatloaf before sliding it into the oven. One day, the son throws a curveball. "Hey Mom," he says, brows furrowed in genuine curiosity, "why are we always giving the meatloaf a trim?" Mom's taken aback. She tries to dredge up an explanation but comes up blank. "Well, kiddo," she chuckles, "that's just how your grandma taught me to do it. Let's get her on the line." So they dial up grandma. "Hey Grandma," they ask, "what's the secret behind the meatloaf trimming ritual?" Grandma chuckles at the question. "Funny you ask," she says, "I've just been following what my mom did. Maybe we should ask her."
Luckily, the family matriarch, great-grandma, was alive and kicking at the local nursing home. Curiosity piqued, they dial up great-grandma, hoping to solve the meatloaf mystery. Upon hearing their question, great-grandma burst into a fit of laughter. "Oh, you silly," she wheezed, "don't tell me you've been slicing up perfectly good meatloaf all these years! I only did it because my darned old pan was too small!" =========================================== We've all got meatloafs in our lives. And theyâre called limiting beliefs. Beliefs we picked up somewhere along the way, and we accepted them as true without questioning them first. It's our job to identify, QUESTION, and eradicate them â so we can finally live the kind of life that we want. The problem is too many times we let those pesky beliefs go unchallenged⦠So we go through the healing journey (and life) believing things like: â¡ï¸ âSitting up tall is good, slouching is bad!â
â¡ï¸ "I have a had back because it runs in my family"
â¡ï¸ âMy back hurts because my core is weakâ
â¡ï¸ âMy pelvis is out of alignmentâ
â¡ï¸ âMy glutes are weakâ
â¡ï¸ âMy SI joint is unstableâ
â¡ï¸ âArthritis only gets worse⦠guess Iâll have to live with painâ=
â¡ï¸ âHerniated discs donât heal" What we donât realize is that these are nothing but meatloaf someone else passed down to us â but we might adopt them as our own. And we end up paying the ultimate price: not getting the life we want, living in pain, and staying stuck by our belief systems. So, what beliefs about your pain do you have? Are you 100% certain that these beliefs are true? OR can you challenge them? What if everything you thought to be true about your back, butt, or sciatica pain wasnât⦠how would that open up the possibility of healing? HINT: Those who get better break faulty beliefs. Those who stay stuck donât. Beliefs inform actions which inform results. If you want different results, you must change your beliefs! Reply back and let me know,
