The iconic painter laid down on the scaffolding… Carefully detailing the ceiling of the Sistine

The iconic painter laid down on the scaffolding… Carefully detailing the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. He was about to create a masterpiece the world had never seen before. One night, his aid comes in with a candle in the dimly lit chapel. He looked around for him and called out, "Michael. Michael"...No response. After some back and forth, the aid looks up and sees a little light, tucked away in a corner in the darkest spot on top of the scaffolding. He sees Michelangelo painting the detail of the wings of an angel and says to him "Michael, what are you doing? This is up behind the scaffolding, the naval, right in the back, tucked away right in the corner. It’s dark. No one is going to see this". Michelangelo turns around, placing his paintbrush in between his teeth and says to his aid... "Yeah, but God does". To this day, the frescoes on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is still looked at as an iconic masterpiece and was one of his greatest works. Michelangelo lived his life by excellence and he had such an impeccable level of ethics and integrity to his craft that he didn’t half-ass anything… Even the spots of the Sistine Chapel where "no one would see". How you do one thing affects all other areas of your life. If I don’t show up to my business, my finances suffer. Then my health suffers due to the financial stress involved. Then my relationship suffers because, hey, I wouldn’t be a fun guy to be around if I’m under overwhelming stress. Excellence doesn’t mean overworking until you burnout. It means powerfully creating, being decisive, staying focused and not letting the distractions creep in. How committed are you to a life of excellence? God bless! . . P.S.
