I got angry. Like really angry Hey hey. Joel here. I'm not gonna lie... I got angry. Like really angry. Why? Because I just read the story from Facebook of a man named Mike... Who lost $50,000 on a business coach. Look, don't get me wrong. There are amazing coaches out there who DON'T make promises they can't keep. And they know how to get transformative results for their clients. So I have nothing but respect for them. But when I hear stories like this, it really makes my blood boil. I love the coaching industry. And it's getting tainted by coaches who care more about the money than they do about getting results. This is why, as someone who has been in the game for 12+ years now... I've made it my mission to help online coaches who desire to transform lives... To coach in a way that creates predictable transformations for their clients. Because the right coach can accelerate you towards your goals. But the wrong coach can cost you even more and set you back. And in Mike’s case, he knew he made the wrong decision when his $50,000 business coach said these deadly words to him... "It’s not personal, it’s just business" When it comes to coaching, not being personal is the BIGGEST mistake you can ever make with your clients. The only way to transform a client's reality is to KNOW their problem EVEN BETTER than the client does. And how can you do that if you’re not being personal? How can you do that if you don’t get the client to open up even if it’s uncomfortable for them? Because getting deep and personal with your client is how you see the root cause of what’s holding them back. This requires you and the client to have an insane level of trust and vulnerability. So it doesn’t make sense to me why a business coach who charges $50,000 would reject the most important part of coaching. It’s like someone wearing a blindfold who tries to guide you towards your destination. In the end, Mike lost that $50,000 and had to recoup a large chunk of it later on. So he’s definitely a lot more cautious now on who he works with in the future. Case in point: Being personal does not mean being ‘unprofessional’. You can be both personal and ‘professional’ at the same time. And yes, it does take high levels of trust and confidence in yourself to be personal with your clients. This is why I go super deep with my Influential Coach students to remove any confidence barriers. Because one way we do this is by using the Belief Reconfiguration Exercise. It’s a simple 3 step exercise that removes your negative beliefs that stop you from stepping into pure confidence in yourself. Then it replaces them with EMPOWERING beliefs that allow you to step into a newfound confidence as if you’re wearing a new suit for the first time. And like I said, I’ll be re-opening this program again soon for online coaches who have that flame inside of them to become world-leaders in their industry. So bottomline: being personal is your greatest tool for creating transformations in your clients. It also allows you to build amazing relationships with anyone you meet.  As a result, you become the kind of coach that people take seriously. You That’s it from me. God Bless! . .
